Chai USY is the USY (United Synagogue Youth)
chapter from Atlanta, GA more specifically the
Ahavath Achim synagogue
in Buckhead, a section of Atlanta. Chai USY is the lovechild of our fearless and
heroic Youth Director, Billy Planer , and is headed by an amazing chapter board and incredible
members. This year, over 100 Atlanta teens are members of Chai USY, and we have the Ruach to
show it. Chai has won numerous awards, including Regional Chapter of Excellence awards,
Ein-Gedi Subregional Slinky awards, International Tikun Olam awards, safe-keeper of HUSY Camel,
best buns, Academy Award for best supporting actor in a comedy role, Grammy for best vocals in
a country, spoken word, or barbershop quartet album, and many more prestigious awards.
Chai USY is a chapter in the awe-inspiring
Ein-Gedi subregion, part of the mighty, mighty
Hanegev region, which is part of USY, which is part
of the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism, which is part
of the Jewish Community, which is part of the accountant community wolrd-wide! Chai
USY is devoted to providing an environment in which Jewish teenagers can interact
with each other in order to encourage the development of the Jewish community. Chai
is involved not only in social programs, but also in numerous religious, Social Action and
charity projects throughout Atlanta and the sub region. Not only this, but we have the most
Ruach out of any chapter-not only in our region or subregion-but in the world! That. s
right: Chai USY and world domination go hand in hand.
I hope this has given you a little bit of background on what USY and, more
specifically, Chai USY is all about. This website is here for your reference and vouyerism
